The ranch is situated at the mouth of a valley that gazes out over Sweetwater Creek towards the slickrock paradise that is the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch boasts 168-acres of walking paths, pastures, and wetland ponds that provide guests with an intimate immersion into the high desert environment. Whether you choose to read a book on the deck or embark on an epic hike, a day here can be as mellow or as active as you’d like. At the end of the day, join us at our onsite restaurant, Sweetwater Kitchen, where our staff cooks up a made from scratch, organic menu. 

“This is an amazing little Oasis in the middle of Grand Escalante National Monument. All the staff are really kind and give you lots of ‘local only’ tips of where to find the best trails. The site itself is beautiful, even though the beavers were elusive. The Sweetwater Kitchen restaurant is phenomenally good. The food is all locally sourced and delicious. The chocolate chip cookies have gone down in legend in my family. We stayed in the Cowboy Tent, which was really comfy, well equipped and peaceful. Didn’t want to leave, but will hopefully return.”

 

Our trails at The Deer Valley Resort take you through shady, lush aspen groves and offer the most spectacular panoramic views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and the Uinta mountains found exclusively at Deer Valley.
